Import the room from the software you draw in, measure it, and send it back. Every format below is one the app writes today, named for the program it is meant for.

What leaves the app, and where it goes
2020 XML for the designer. DXF for ProKitchen, Chief Architect and AutoCAD. DAE for SketchUp. PDF for the client.
| Export | Opens in | What you get | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2020 .xml | 2020 Design Flex | The room as real walls, doors and windows, in place and to size. Trial room 262" × 230" confirmed in 2020 Design 14.8.3.1. | Built |
| .dxf | ProKitchen · Chief Architect · AutoCAD · 2020 Design Flex | Layered: walls, openings, dimensions. A DXF made for ProKitchen's import (it asks for DXF rather than DWG on a Mac). | Built |
| .dae | SketchUp | The room as a Collada model, so you build on measured walls rather than tracing a background. | Built |
| Clients · installers · any design tool | A measured-plan PDF: each room's walls, openings and measurements, then the photos. Client-ready. | Built | |
| .svg · .json | Other tools and integrations | The plan as a vector, and the measurements as data. | Built |
| Measure Copy | Blitz · your team | One file per job with every room's measurements, plans and photos. Opens in Blitz; share it with anyone on the team. | Built |
Imports work the other way: bring a DXF or DAE from 2020 Design Flex, ProKitchen, SketchUp or Chief Architect in, measure the real room against it, and send the corrected walls back.
The handoff, program by program
Opens as real walls
Export the 2020 XML, open it in 2020 Design, and the room is there: walls, doors and windows where they were measured. No tracing, no drafting service, no wait.
Import the DXF and build on it
ProKitchen imports DXF. The export is made for its importer, with walls, openings and dimensions on named layers. On a Mac it asks for DXF rather than DWG, which is what you get.
A DAE, not a background
SketchUp opens the Collada model as measured geometry. The PDF and the plan image work as a reference too, for anyone who prefers to trace.
Neither 2020 nor ProKitchen publishes a room-import format, so a native room file is not possible; the XML and the DXF are the closest thing to one.
Tapes and lasers that pair as a keyboard type straight in
The REEKON T1M does, on any device. The Leica DISTO D1 and D2 populate the measure directly on Windows today; on iPhone and iPad the Leica link comes with the Capture app.
